The Securities and Futures Commission has issued another warning against a financial securities offering firm in Hong Kong. The regulator is concerned about the true identity and motives of the platform. The regulator has reasons to believe that the particular firm is involved in running a scam among the Hong Kong citizens.

To hide its true identity and motives, the firm has been making false claims on the website. The name of the firm is Feng Hong Internationality. It is reportedly misleading the investors into thinking that it is a registered entity operating in Hong Kong.

Feng Hong Internationality is also using the company name and business details of a financial securities offering company registered in Hong Kong. This is yet another breach of the regulatory guidelines in Hong Kong as the firm is making a false claim about its identity.

Warning by SFC

According to the Securities and Futures Commission, Feng Hong Internationality is falsely claiming that it is a registered firm. It is posing as a financial services provider that is authorized to operate in Hong Kong and interact with the investors.

To gain the trust of the Hong Kong locals, the firm has gone to the extent of claiming that it is a registered/authorized entity to operate in Hong Kong. The firm has therefore, cloned the trading company details of a Hong Kong-based firm authorized to operate in the country.

The authorized company has also confirmed that it has nothing to do with the website or its operatives. Therefore, the Securities and Futures Commission has all the reasons to perceive Feng Hong Internationality to be a fraudulent firm.

Unregistered Entity in Hong Kong

The Securities and Futures Commission has confirmed that Feng Hong Internationality has acquired no authority or license to operate in Hong Kong. If Feng Hong Internationality wants to run its financial operations in Hong Kong and offer any product to the locals, the relevant licensing must be acquired.

The Securities and Futures Commission is the only authority in Hong Kong permitted to grant such licenses. Therefore, the firm must establish a communication with the SFC to acquire authorization.

As confirmed by the SFC, the firm has not communicated with the firm at all so it has no authority to operate in Hong Kong. If the firm is still doing it and the locals are interacting with it, they are putting their personal information and funds at a great risk.

Feng Hong Internationality has no Connection with Yuanta Securities

To make its place in the Hong Kong financial market, Feng Hong Internationality has claimed it is a licensed entity in the country. The truth is that the firm has no such license from the SFC or other Hong Kong-based regulator to verify that claim.

Like most of the fraudulent financial service providers and website, Feng Hong Internationality has also resorted to cloning a licensed entity from Hong Kong.

Feng Hong Internationality has reportedly cloned the business details of Yuanta Securities, which is a highly reputed and licensed financial company operating in Hong Kong.

The SFC licensed company has confirmed that it has nothing to do with Feng Hong Internationality. This confirms that the claim made by the clone firm is false and filled with lies. This is more of a reason for the SFC to consider it a scam.

Another major fact about the clone firm is the address it claims to be located on. The regulator has confirmed that despite claiming, Feng Hong Internationality is not located at the address it claims to be based at.

The firm claims it is located at 28/F, 16-18 Queen’s Road Central, Central, Hong Kong (New World Tower) but it is not based there. The SFC has reason to believe that even the email address: [email protected] and telephone number: +852 6365 9101 provided by the firm on its website: http://fenghonginternationality.com/Portal/hk/ are incorrect.
